A Summer of Fun!

What's on your mind as summer approaches? Is it fun, sun, enjoying the beach and life itself? Or does your heart fill with dread as the thought of shorts, swimsuits and the beach -- add up to pure mental and emotional torture?

Unfortunately, if you are like most people, as the temperature starts to rise and the coats go back in the closet, fear and anxiety is triggered--all focused on the dreaded summer wardrobe and activities.

It doesn't have to be that way! Lets make today the day that you start the transformation of your body AND your mind! There is no day like today to start making a change. 

#1 GET OVER IT!!!
Ok, so you let yourself go a bit over the winter. The weight gain has caused you to feel bad about yourself and this triggered MORE bad eating and sitting on the couch. This cycle will continue until you make a conscious choice to "get over it" and move forward! Being upset with past transgressions won't do a thing to help your future. Make the decision to stop the cycle and move forward.

#2 START TODAY!

Life will never give you the perfect day to get started. Don't wait until the first of the month or until the kids go to camp. Start TODAY!!

#3 CHUG-A-LUG

A great first step is toward a great summer body is simple. Replace all sodas, teas, juices with water! The more water you drink, the less water your body will retain.

#4 SNACKING SHUTDOWN

Snacking is good when it is on healthy veggies, fruits and nuts. However, those little bites here and there of sugary chocolates, chips and candies, add up without you thinking you ate anything at all. Keep them away from your desk and keep water and healthier snacks close by instead.

#5 MOVE IT!

Get off the couch! In order to look and FEEL better, you've got to move! Make exercise a priority each and every day. Exercise adds up and keeps chipping away at that extra winter fat you are dying to lose.

#6 GET OUT THERE!

Don't miss out on life because you don't feel you have the perfect body. YOU are a masterpiece in progress! You DESERVE to enjoy yourself and get out there. Life is a journey, enjoy it and never let self doubts about your appearance hold you back.
